Chrysler is recalling nearly 1,700 all-wheel-drive-equipped 2012 Jeep Patriot and 2012 Jeep Compass SUVs for a possible defect in the fuel system. In certain affected vehicles, a valve designed to prevent fuel leakage in the event of a rollover can leak.......... The faulty valve may cause fuel leakage in the event of a collision or rollover, increasing the risk of a fire. The recall is for vehicles manufactured between Dec. 7, 2011, and Jan. 2. Chrysler is recalling nearly 1,700 all-wheel-drive-equipped 2012 Jeep Patriot and 2012 Jeep Compass SUVs for a possible defect in the fuel system.

In certain affected vehicles, a valve designed to prevent fuel leakage in the event of a rollover can leak..........

The faulty valve may cause fuel leakage in the event of a collision or rollover, increasing the risk of a fire.

The recall is for vehicles manufactured between Dec. 7, 2011, and Jan. 2.

It's how they address them. They can fix them fast like most do or delay, lie and deny like Toyota did on their accelerators.

Over time the control arm could break at the weld.
