AccordV6MN: Thank you for your update. I have never run research on any vehicles, however I have torn a few engines down and I have also seen others that have been tore down and I have observed exactly as you have decribed in your post.

If you have any more related information, please do post in this forum.

@ bustermoves

have you seen hole on the piston from e85 running engine with your own eyes? I've run research for DOE and DoAG on vehicles made in 90s and 00s run on e85, on oaccasion for 100k+ on e85 and have yet to see hole on any engine part yet. the worst i've seen the engine is not as shiny as brand new engine (no engine does after 100k+ either runs on E0 or E100 or anything in between). what i've seen after taking apart the engines are they are about the same in terms of wear and tear and deposits. and as far as plastic components, they are less discolor and not as stiff on E85 versus E0.

I don't believe so but I'd speak to your local dealer about it first.

"no!cars that are not built to run o e85 will not runn on it.minimal it will cause check engine light to come on showing lean codes.worst case itll go lean and burn a hole in a piston."

That statement is pure BS. Any car in America can be converted to run on E85.

Yes but start at 25% until 30% since e85 is 70% ethanol...

use 25% (qtr tank) then add regular afterwards. then you are riding on Net e30 if the regualr is e10 fuel...

I have driven in CO since 2005 on this mixture...

Compromise cost with Hotter burn from extra ethanol content...

You will notice the cost effectiveness...

Use it. It won't hurt. But start off with only 20%, then gradually increase.

I wouldn't think so unless it is set up to use Flex Fuel.

If there's a decal on the back of you vehicle that looks like this, it was made to use E85 as well as regular unleaded.

sure you can, but check engine light may come on because the fuel injector need to spray more fuel in it. some car have a wider band of fuel compensation. if you impala don't have a wide band, you'll feel sluggish when accelerating WOT. if you are within the band, you should feel a little extra HP from the extra oxygen molecule in the fuel when you press in the gas pedal at the same distance.

You probably can, but I would go with a lesser blend, say E20-E30 and see how that works out.

You can convert any car to E85, buy adding a flextune module or chaining injectors, etc..
