The east coast oil infrastructure dodged a bullet as Hurricane Irene passed through the mid-Atlantic and northeastern seaboard leaving oil refineries, terminals and pipelines unscathed.

In the past week the U.S. national average price of gasoline has increased from $3.58 to $3.60 per gallon Concurrently, the average price in Canada increased from 123.2c/L to 124.8 c/L today.

While Irene delivered the 'demand destruction' that always accompanies major storms, Labor Day Weekend should restore it, with anticipated travel this weekend pushing retail prices a few cents a gallon higher in many markets before the holiday weekend.
Fuel prices in some eastern states have already increased by five cents...

Same old news, supply of gas is fine yet prices get jacked up causing hardship with most American's. Repeal that 2001 law that put gas & oil on the markets. Make speculating illegal. Close the doors on the crooked banks and impeach the monkey for lying.

Gas went up 10 cents per litre this week for no reason at all. It is now 129.9 per litre.

The price has gone up 2-3 cents here in the last few days at most stations. But the economy and price of oil is also going up. Conservation keeps your money in your pocket.

I had already figured she'd be going up because of the holiday, and most likely will a bit, then decline a bit again.

We're already up here and have been trending upward at a few of the stations I post here and elsewhere, and for those not planning on traveling for the Labor Day weekend, then I suggest you fill up tonight or tomorrow morning, or tomorrow evening at the latest. Should be enough to tide you through until the weekend is gone, then fill up only halfway until prices come down.
