The Lord's Prayer-Its Meaning For You
“Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified.” (Matthew 6:9) These opening words of the model prayer help us to draw close to God by addressing him as “our Father.” Like a child, who is naturally drawn to a loving and understanding parent, we can approach our heavenly Father confident that he wants to hear us. “O Hearer of prayer,” sang King David, “even to you people of all flesh will come.”—Psalm 65:2.

Hi Guitar_Man
If you had read the article you would know that your point that this is only a model for our prayers which is not to be repeated verbatim each time we pray you would know we are in agreement here. The point is priorities. Are we asking for God to bless his work in a way which would be uplifting to all onlookers. Are we, like Jesus who before he was to be put to death asked for that cup to pass from him, but only if God so wished. In other words, are we willing to take no for an answer if that is the answer that will advance the interests of God's Kingdom.
You do know that you can address such issues in The Religious Debate Forum. This is an educational site for Jehovah's Witnesses and visitors. Questions phrased as a sincere quest to clarify an issue will be answered. Rebuttals meant to teach or debate will be deleted as these are best posted on the debate forum or on the forum of your own affiliation. I hope you see this answer before GM deletes your post as I have asked him to do thusly so as not to allow an exception to this Forum's rule.

Jesus did not say "you must pray this way"
The Lord's prayer is a model for prayer, not exact words to say over and over again...He gave instructions before giving His example in prayer
Matthew 6:5-8 "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. "This, then, is how you should pray:
