America needs to wise up and stop requiring so many different types of fuel. Another area that shows the EPA needs to be seriously cut back and a number of regulations eliminated.

Wow, with these figures you would expect prices to be very low in order to stimulate demand yet here we are, hanging around $4 nationally.

"However, during the same time frame, the U.S. exported 380,000bpd of gasoline and 956,000bpd of distillates. In total, U.S. refineries exported 2.7 million barrels per DAY of oil and products!"

They have to keep the prices up at the pumps.

You would think gas prices would be lowest in the Midwest with a high utilization of 97.7. We are just starting to see some stations drop below $4.00 in this area but the wholesale price indicates that prices are about to rise again.

Of interest to industry types, but little concern by "we the people". As long as those retail prices keep falling, we're quite contented. Of course after dropping six or seven cents per gallon, we'll be looking for it to spike about ten cents to erase all the price drops. Maybe the government will get smart one day and institute a moderated price control to help regulate this price manipulation.
