Hydrogen is an energy carrier, like electricity, but not as efficient as electricity. Hydrogen is only practical if you use some form of renewable energy (solar, wind, wave, geothermal, or tidal) to produce the hydrogen. Even then, it may not be as good as electricity. Better solution would be mass transit that runs on electrify, like trains or trolley cars with wires or a “hot” track.

If they stopped building gasoline cars. Other than that, I wouldn't consider buying a hybrid car-at least not at the present time.

Costly gas prices... but repair and reliability would have to be resolved first!

hybrids and alternative fuel vehicles have been around since before WWI - is the world using them? NO.
If readily available- which they aren't - i would consider buying a non-fuel vehicle- YES. WE DO NOT need fuel to run our world - we have alternatives - have for eons - people make the choices to buy from large corporations - who tell you what you want!!!

Probably nothing. The hybrid is a short term fix with possibly long-term problems. If they ever take off, what is the provision for disposal of the batteries?
