It's amazing the number of people that continue to post "No Fuel from Food!..." and other forms of misinformation on ethanol, that I see repeatedly posted here.
Ethanol is made from FEED corn, not TABLE corn. The starched used to make the ethanol, is the RESIDUAL starch leftover AFTER feed corn has been processed to remove the starch, in order to INCREASE the amount of protein from the FEED corn used to make livestock feed.
Any simple search of how the various distiller's grains are made, will verify that.

No Fuel from Food! No E15, No E10 and No Government Subsidies either! Effects of Ethanol in Gasoline is bad for the engine, for the consumer and for Barry's lousy, going nowhere economy. Shell has been an expensive fuel. Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. Consider using other forms of less expensive transportation to lower your cost, if possible! The price of fuel at the pump is too high! 12/22/2012!

had a couple of stations here that had ethanol free gas but recently dropped it. just wasn't selling enough. good to see stations that are doing well with it.
although we had a better deal of just 10cents more, not enough people were using it.

"You're going to get lower mileage with ethanol," he said. "You aren't going to notice it a lot with a 10 percent blend rate, but if you were running something like E-85 which is 85 percent ethanol, you'd see a 25 to 30 percent drop in gas mileage"
This is the sort of info that needs to be stressed!

For a list of some stations in the US and Canada that offer ethanol-free gas:
pure-gas . org. Just click on your state and go from there.

Ethanol was never a good alternative. Just a bonus subsidy for the corn-producing states, as if corn isn't in all our food anyway.

Get rid of ethanol. People don't want it. Save the corn for other products and food.

boldrph said, "so brazil can handle e100 but these whiners can't handle e10?"
I agree.
A lot of fear mongering going on here and I actually believe that we don't need to go to E15. No food for fuel.

Sounds like this gas station owner is making good money off of ethanol fears. I wonder how he's able to get away with it.

Give me a chance to buy pure E0 gas at my neighborhood gas station and I'll vote with my gas dollars to show Congress what I think of E10/E15 or any other ethanol blend. Corn for food, not ethanol!

We've got to convince Congress to pass a law eliminating the requirement that xxx, xxx, xxx gallons of ethanol MUST be blended into transportation gasoline every year. That's the reason for the push to putting 15% ethanol into the system... as the demand for gasoline goes down, and the mandate for ethanol goes up, we are at the point that there aren't enough real gasoline to hold all the ethanol. By 2025, ethanol mandate will be 40% of the anticipated demand for gasoline. That only works if you put 40% ethanol in the gasoline.
